UNITY FIRST

As a people African Americans are at a crossroads today. We must choose the right direction. Many believe an era ended with the passing of Coretta Scott King. Because of President Obama's election many believe we have entered a new era for Black People. Many are now asking, “Where do we go from here?” Black Salvation.com was established to answer that question. African Americans must come together for a unified effort to establish cooperation in the Black community. Black Salvation is an advocacy initiative for that unity.

African Americans have the necessary intellectual capacity, economic capital, and creative savvy to solve any problem we as a people may have. It is an overwhelming necessity that Blacks as a people come together today. There is a solution to our dilemma and it begins with unity. With unity as a foundation we can build any structure we choose.

Black Salvation.com’s purpose is to unite Black people of vision and faith, spiritual individuals that appreciate the power of unity and of love. The vision of Black Salvation.com is a vision of victory. With unity that victory is assured.

Unity is a spiritual matter. Spirituality is the foundation of the unity of all life. God and his Spirit are one and that Spirit resides in each of us. For Blacks to remain out of unity is to remain out of harmony with the universe. The universe is one with itself cannot Blacks be one with each other? At Black Salvation.com we believe it is God’s will that Blacks unite therefore we believe it can be done.

Approximately 80% of African Americans consider themselves Christian. Consider that unity is a key even in the scriptures. According to the scriptures, the last prayer of Jesus was that God would make the believers one so that they would be one even as God is one. The scriptures also says that the body is one and even as the body is one so is God’s children therefore no one can say of the other I have no need of you. The scripture puts it this way “the hand cannot say of the foot it has no need of it”. Cannot the Black Church be one today? Cannot Black people say this of each other?

Consider the power to build new institutions and Black business resulting from the unification of the Black Church. Envision Black Baptist, African Methodist, Church of God in Christ, Church of God, Black Muslims and Pan African Churches all using their collective wealth and influence to address Black economic and social disparities. This alone would make a tremendous impact on any negative condition in the Black community. It would inspire African Americans to believe in and turn to God in a phenomenal way. The movement for the elevation, liberation and salvation of Black people should be led by Black Religious Leaders.

The path we have been on has not given us the results we desire. It would be unwise to expect that doing the same thing will get different results. It is time to change the course of history. We begin by coming together in unity. We begin by changing ourselves. We begin by examining our beliefs and the facts. We are free today, let us exercise that freedom.
